SELF LOVE & THE RIPPLE EFFECT

Updated: Nov 30, 2022

It is very interesting to watch the ripple effect that happens to people around you when you are living a vibrant healthy lifestyle.

Actions speak louder then words. If you are taking time for yourself to move your body each day in the best way that suits you, eat a healthy diet 80% of the time, speak to yourself and others in a positive way, have boundaries, live by your values and standards and be true to who you are then those around you will see this and be inspired by your energy, your drive and your determination.

"Just as ripples spread out when a single pebble is dropped into water, the actions of individuals can have far- reaching effects" - Dalai Lama.

When I started my health and wellness journey 4+ years ago I didn't really think about how it would effect my family. I knew it would be a good thing but didn't really think too much about it.

During this time I have been consistent with my exercise and training. Showing up most days to do some form of exercise. Moving my body because I know it is good for me both mentally and physically. It's a form of self love for me.

A few years ago my son decided to join the gym I was attending. He booked a PT to help him on his own journey to living a healthy lifestyle.

Then at the start of this year my daughter asked me if she could join the gym with me. So my answer was of course absolutely yes. She attends the gym by herself most of the time in addition to her dancing she does on the weekends.

I feel that if I hadn't have been a role model for my children and shown them that moving my body in a healthy sustainable way then they would not have decided for themselves to do the same. I feel it is a great lesson for them to learn that if they start exercising and moving their bodies at an early age and loving the feeling you get afterwards then they will continue to do this through out their lives and live a vibrant healthy lifestyle. I wish I had known about it when I was their age.

"You have shown me the better way to live my life without compromising who i am" - Haylee ( my 16yr old daughter)

Mindset and how we speak to ourselves and others.

This has been a huge topic for me. Not so much how I speak to others but certainly how I speak to myself. I have done a lot of personal development over the past 4 years and it is an on going practise for me. The majority of my thoughts and beliefs were that I wasn't smart enough, skinny enough, pretty enough etc. After many years of proving to myself that in fact I am smart enough, pretty enough, and it doesn't matter what body size you are to follow your dreams and goals. I am now sharing my experience with my children. Encouraging them to do and be whoever they want to be, that they can achieve anything they desire. I am there for them to share their thoughts and vision and to just be a cheerleader for them when they are doubting themselves.

Because I am so passionate about mindset and I believe that it is the most important part of our life to master I have created a 6 week online course to help and support other women that want to thrive and live a more vibrant, fun, driven life following their dreams and goals which I am so excited about.

If you would like more information then send me a message or an email, I would love to chat with you to see if it is something that would help you.
